Cast iron foundry

Since the construction of a new modern foundry in Belgium, Dovre has succeeded in establishing an enviable reputation for reliability in the OEM market.

The high degree of automation of its foundry makes Dovre an excellent partner for the production of large series of thin wall castings up to approx. 30 kg in weight. Dovre castings are characterised by their surface consistency and precise measurement.

Dovre can guarantee a high quality. Dovre's manufacturing facilities include a substantial machine shop, a modern, well equipped sheet metal fabrication unit and a large assembly, enameling and packaging department.

A flexible organisation with a skilful customer orientated staff is at your service to deal with your enquiries.

 

Foundry

 

Furnaces:

1 induction furnace, melting rate 6 tons/hour, power rating 3.7 MW
4 oxygen/natural gas rotary furnaces, each with a melting capacity of 20 tons/2.5 hours
1 gas-fired holding furnace, capacity 6 tons
1 induction holding furnace, capacity 32 tons

Moulding lines:

1 Disamatic 2070, max. 280 moulds/hour, max. mould dimensions 950 X 700 X 600 mm 
1 Disamatic 2032, max. 300 moulds/hour, max. mould dimensions 775 X 600 X 550 mm

   

Pouring devices:

An individual laser-controlled stopperrod system is provided to each of the Disamatics.

Laboratory:

spectral analyser
microscope
machine for testing tensile strength

hardness testers

 

Iron specifications:

grey cast iron: GN-GJL 150-300
special cast iron alloys availbale for wear-, heat- or impact resitance

Castings weight range: 0,1 - ca. 30 kg
Castings batch size: from 250 moulds

  

 

Pattern shop

Fabrication of patterns and pattern plate inserts with metal and synthetic materials.

Processing and assembly

Dovre has extensive processing and assembly facilities.

Mitutoyo KN807, measruring range 850 x 700 x 600 mm

 

Enameling

Our enameling department has 2 application lines and 2 tunnel furnaces.
